Stop weighing yourself down.

I think that whatever size or shape body you have, it’s important to embrace it and get down! The female body is something that’s so beautiful. I wish women would be proud of their bodies and not dis other women for being proud of theirs!

-Christina Aguilera

Why do we obsess over these three digits that we call our weight? I mean, that’s all it really is. Three numbers. Yet, we have consumed our lives to perfecting those numbers, we make goals for ourselves to get these numbers down, and we commit to these numbers for long periods of time.

We need to stop this non-sense.

I will never understand why we restrict ourselves of food, nourishment, and ultimately of life, in order to achieve smaller digits. What? Are we for real? I’m sorry if I’m craving a Big Mac, I’m going at it like lion on the prowl.

Food is not the enemy, we are. The only person who cares about your three digits is you. Nobody else even knows them. So indulge a little, it’s not going to hurt anybody.

Just like there is no perfect man, there is no perfect number. You can only be happy with what you have and realize how  this “perfect” number doesn’t exist. It doesnt. People set these ideal numbers in their head and dedicate their life to them, but that number is only an estimate. What happens if that ideal weight is not enough? All that hard work, deterring of the fatty foods, and eating tofu because you “think” it’s low-cal and you still don’t look good. Why not try being content with who you are instead? Your three numbers are going to change constantly throughout your life, nobody stays the same size forever, but the thing that will always be present is your confidence.

Three digits; that’s all they really are and that’s a fact. So don’t cry if you gain 5 or 10 pounds, you probably didn’t even notice until you stepped onto the scale.

Please don’t worry, weight ain’t nothing but a number so stop weighing yourself down.

  2. Ah, makes me think of the famous quote “Writing is an adventure. To begin with, it is a toy and an amusement. Then it becomes a mistress, then it becomes a master, then it becomes a tyrant. The last phase is that just as you are about to be reconciled to your servitude, you kill the monster and fling him to the public.” – Winston Churchill
